This week on Armed Lutheran Radio, Lloyd returns after surgery and joins Pastor Bennett to review a news story from a listener about a group of churches that are “divesting” from police services by pledging never to call police, even in cases of violent crime. Sgt. Bill has an after-action report on the two-day Ben Stoeger class he just finished, and Mia discusses the importance of getting involved with and supporting the pro-freedom organizations in your state.

Clinging to God and Guns
A group of Protestant and Unitarian churches has decided that police departments are so corrupt, racist, and unfair that they refuse to call them anymore, even in cases of vandalism or violent crime. They claim it is their Christian duty to “divest” themselves of police protection and to call for the abolition of police departments nationally.

Aaron Israel of Fundamental Defense
Aaron Israel is recovering after Baker Mayfield was drafted by the Cleveland Browns. He will be back with us next week.

Prayer of the Week
Our merciful Father, the God who alone make minds of the faithful to be of one will, cause Your people to love what You command and to desire what You promise, that among the manifold changes of this world our hearts may be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Prayer of the Week
Almighty and everlasting God, the heavenly Father who shows the light of truth to those who are in error so that they may return into the way of righteousness, cause all who are admitted into the fellowship of Christ's Church to avoid those things that are contrary to their profession and to follow all such things that are agreeable thereto; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Well, we did it. We found the worst sermon in the world. We thought we had found it back in Episode 88, but we were wrong. In this hideous homily, the “pastor” turns Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem into a protest march against the Roman Empire and it's weapons of war, and compares it to the fraudulent “March for Our Lives.” It's so bad, we had to do an entire show.

Recovering from Holy Week and my daughter's sleepover party, Armed Lutheran Radio is running short staff. Aaron Israel has a self-defense tip, Lloyd share's thoughts about a new movie coming in June and the hypocrisy of the anti-gun Left, and is again on his own in Clinging to God & Guns, looking at an anti-American rant from a “clumsy” Christian who claims that America is getting what it deserves because it's such an awful place, and that Rev. Jeremiah Wright predicted our school shooting “epidemic” when he said our chickens had come home to roost.

He is risen! He is risen, indeed! Happy Easter! In this week's episode we talk about ignorance and fear and how it affects the current gun rights debate, we look at an article by a female pastor who decided to allow her irrational fear of guns and school shootings to affect her inquisitive five-year-old, and we have tips from Sgt. Bill, Aaron Israel, and Mia Anstine.

Commentary
We're told that the kids leading the “March for Our Lives” have important opinions that need to be heard. Truth is that their opinions, like those of every other gun-banner are uninformed and based on irrational fear.

Rather than sharing the comfort of the Gospel she claims to preach, she decides to allow her irrational fear to cause her son to panic.

Prayer of the Week
We implore you, Almighty and merciful God, cause us who celebrate Your Pascal Feast, kindled with heavenly desires, ever to thirst for the Fountain of Life, Jesus Christ; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
