Clinging to God and Guns
When I was 18 years old I wrote a mindless poem about how I could no longer call myself a Christian because of the history of abuse by the Church over the centuries. I walked away from the faith because I could not distinguish the acts of evil humans within the church and the church itself. But I was a freshman in college. Today we examine an article by a “pastor” in the United Methodist Church who has decided to reject the cross because others have used it as a symbol in commission of evil acts. What drove her to this conclusion? The acts of an anti-semitic, Trump-hating, Nazi who attacked the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

Clinging to God and Guns
With a migrant caravan header for the southern border, noted theologian John Kasich chided Americans to open their hearts to illegal immigrants because the Lord doesn't want walls or borders. On the other side, an insane post at Pulpit and Pen suggest the Christian response to these migrants is bombs and bullets. Lloyd and Pastor Bennett examine the subject of illegal immigration and how God's Word should inform our opinions on the subject.
