Bill.

Mia's Motivations with Mia Anstine
Mia Anstine encourages you to take new shooters to the range this summer in today's Motivation.
Prayer of the Week
O God, the Protector of all that trust in You, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy, increase and multiply upon us Your mercy that, You being our Ruler and Guide, we may so pass through things temporal that we finally lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord. Amen.
This week on Armed Lutheran Radio, Lloyd and Pastor Bennett take on another audio interview with Reverend John Piper (whose "cocky swagger" we first met back in Episode 55) who again suggests that we don't need guns because he could not kill a home invader who would probably go to hell as a result. Mia Anstine is talking about air rifles, Sgt. Bill shares lessons learned about match gear, and Aaron has tips for what to look for in choosing reality based training.

Clinging to God and Guns
Rev. John Piper is back and he's brought his cocky swagger with him. Asked to respond to his suggestion that people not buy guns with their economic stimulus checks, Rev. Prayer of the Week
O Lord, who never fails to help and govern those whom You bring up in Your steadfast fear and love, make us to have a perpetual fear and love of Your holy name; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord. Amen.

This week on Armed Lutheran Radio, Lloyd responds to shares some thoughts from James 3:1 in response to the Alexandria shooting, responds to some listener feedback, reviews the Canik TP9SF Elite (pronouncing it correctly in the process) and takes on an arrogant, elitist PhD in Clinging to God and Guns. Gear Review: Canik TP9SF Elite
Lloyd reviews this striker-fired pistol from Turkish manufacturer Canik55 after using it to place 4th at the Oklahoma State IDPA Championship.
Commentary: We Need Emotion Control
Liberalism is the politics of emotion. And the progressive, anti-Trump left, has lost control of their emotions. Given the level of irrational fear and hatred on the Left, the shooting in Alexandria, Virginia was only a matter of time in coming.
Ballistic Minute with Sergeant Bill
Shooting prone ain't fun. There are three basic ways to do it, and Sgt. Bill shares his thoughts on each technique.
Aaron Israel of Fundamental Defense
Aaron Israel urges us to think differently about gun safety and to use safety rules that have integrity.
Mia's Motivations with Mia Anstine
Mia was unable to join us this week but we hope to have her back next episode.
Clinging to God and Guns
Pastor Bennett was unable to join us this week so Lloyd is flying solo, tackling a segment from the Things Not Seen podcast, featuring a PhD named David J. Dunn. Dr. Dunn thinks you are childish for not wanting to give up your “dangerous toys” in order to save the lives of children and he tries to convince you that Jesus told his disciples to buy swords, because he wanted to “look like a rebel” by hanging out with armed troublemakers.
Prayer of the Week
O God, the Strength of all those who put their trust in You, mercifully accept our prayers; and because through the weakness of our mortal nature we can do no good thing, grant us the help of Your grace that in keeping Your commandments we may please You both in will and deed; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord. Amen.

Mia Anstine encourages you experienced hunters to mentor the next generation.
Clinging to God and Guns
Today we dissect the stoned ramblings of a YopuTuber called “5th Watcher” who thinks Jesus' command to buy a sword in Luke 22:36 is about being numbered with transgressors and says that if we think this verse justifies the ownership of guns then why not nuclear weapons?
Prayer of the Week
Almighty and everlasting God, who has given to us, Your servants, grace, by the confession of a truth faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity and in the power of the Divine Majesty to worship the Unity, we implore You that You would keep us steadfast in this faith and evermore defend us from all adversities; who lives and reigns, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

In this week's episode of Armed Lutheran Radio Lloyd and Pastor Bennett take on a "sermon" from a Methodist church in Phoenix that is basically a political speech disguised as a sermon. Filled with bad statistics, horrible exegesis, and the suggestion that peace can be achieved with pizza, pop and free parking...and gun control. Plus tips from Aaron, Sgt. Bill, and listener email from Ben in Pittsburgh.
Ballistic Minute with Sergeant Bill
Sgt. Bill shares a new tip for reloaders about two-way dies.
Aaron Israel of Fundamental Defense
Aaron Israel discusses the Manchester massacre.
Clinging to God and Guns
All we need is love. And free pizza. According to Rev. Jody Topping of Faith United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Arizona, if we just show love to others (by giving them free pizza and passing sensible gun control laws) we would have peace on Earth.
Prayer of the Week
O God our merciful Father, who taught the hearts of Your faithful people by sending to them the light of Your Holy Spirit, bring us by the same Spirit to have a right judgment in all things and evermore to rejoice in His holy comfort; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who with You and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Prayer of the Week - Lord, with our anxious cares and troubles we come to You, trusting in Your Word and believing in Your promises. All of us, some more than others, have been greatly upset by the worries, fears, and doubts of the day. Be our Strength and Refuge so we may find peace of mind and healing body. Uphold us with Your almighty arm. We are not worthy of Your love and mercy, for we have sinned and often done evil in Your sight. Blot out all our transgressions through Christ’s precious blood. Fill our souls with peace. Give us the grace to put all our trust in You. Let Your healing hand rest upon us day after day. Enable us by Your grace to rise above all our suffering to praise You, whose will is wiser than our own. Keep us in Your saving grace, and abide with us all the days of our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sgt. Bill gives you thoughts about an annoying cliche about being fast and smooth.
Special Guest: Marcus Weldon
After a long night working at a Christmas party, still wearing a Santa suit, he had an encounter with two men at a gas station that changed his life completely. After being shot at by two men, Marcus was forced to use deadly force in self-defense, and even though he was legally licensed to carry a gun, he was treated like a criminal and called “The Santa Shooter.”

Special Guest: Rhonda Ezell
Rhonda Ezell is the lead plaintiff in a pair of successful lawsuits (Ezell v. Chicago and Ezell v. Chicago II) against the City of Chicago, overturning the city's ban on public shooting ranges and the zoning restrictions that made building a range in the city impossible.

Our merciful Father, the God who alone make minds of the faithful to be of one will, cause Your people to love what You command and to desire what You promise, that among the manifold changes of this world our hearts may be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Aaron shares a lesson learned from a recent good-guy-with-a-gun incident in Texas, Mia reports from the Shoot Like a Girl trailer at NRAAM, and Pastor Bennett is out sick so Lloyd is flying solo on Clinging to God & Guns, taking apart an article that suggests that Jesus would have some choice words for the NRA.
Ballistic Minute with Sergeant Bill
Sgt. Bill is back from his win at the Silver Dollar to talk about the oft-heard phrase “Fast is fine, but accuracy is final.”

Amen.

It's been a craptastic couple of weeks for the gun banners. Two shootings in California — one in a school and a spree killing — should have served as grist for the gun control media mill. But once the facts became known, the narratives fell apart and nobody cared. Plus Mia is preparing for her trip to Atlanta for the NRA Annual Meetings, Sgt. Bill has a product review, Aaron has tips for trusting your gut, and Pastor Bennett responds to listener feedback.

Aaron Israel of Fundamental Defense
Your intuition will tell you when to avoid danger. The trick is that you have to listen.
Mia's Motivations with Mia Anstine
Mia is looking forward to the NRA Annual Meetings in Atlanta next weekend.
Clinging to God and Guns
Pastor John Bennett responds to a nasty bit of feedback that tries to paint Jesus as the world's biggest liberal.
Prayer of the Week
Almighty and merciful God, as You have brought us to celebrate the festival of the Lord's resurrection, cause us by Your grace to bring forth the fruits thereof in our life and conduct; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Two events in the final week of the life of Christ are most often used on either side of the gun debate. Jesus tells his disciples in the Upper Room to sell their cloaks and buy swords, and later tells Simon Peter that all who take up the sword will perish by the sword. What's the proper context of these verses and what should we be focusing on as we read through these passages during the Holy Week of Easter? Pastor Evan Goeglein of Faith Lutheran Church in Rogue River, Oregon joins us again to discuss it. Plus tips from Sgt. Bill, Aaron Israel of Fundamental Defense, and Mia Anstine.

Special Guest: Pr. Evan Goeglein - Pastor Evan Goeglein of Table Talk Radio joins us again to discuss two of the most commonly (mis)used passages from the Bible from Luke 22 and Matthew 26. Both events took place during the original Holy Week preceeding Christ's passion and Crucifixion and both are used on opposite sides of the gun rights debate.
Prayer of the Week
O almighty and eternal God, who through the death of Your Son has destroyed sin and death, and by his rising to life again restored innocence and everlasting life, that being delivered from the power of the devil, I might live under You in Your kingdom, grant that I may be forever comforted by true faith in the resurrection of Your dear Son. While I live, guide me with Your holy counsel, and when I die, give me the crown of life, that with all the holy angels and the elect I may praise and glorify You, world without end. Amen.

Aaron Israel responds to an question from a member of the Reformation Gun Club, and Sgt. Bill talks about preparing for a sanctioned IDPA match.
Ballistic Minute with Sergeant Bill
As Sgt. Bill heads to the Razorback Shootout in Perryville, Arkansas this weekend, he shares his thoughts on how to prepare for a major IDPA match.
Aaron Israel of Fundamental Defense
Reformation Gun Club member Dave Hegenauer asks about training when there's nowhere nearby to train.
Clinging to God and Guns
“Hope has two beautiful daughters. Their names are courage and anger; anger at the way things are, and courage to see that they do not remain the way they are.” That bogus quote is widely attributed to Saint Augustine of Hippo (354-430 AD) and served as the inspiration for a sermon by a Presbyterian pastor in the wake of the Newtown school shooting in 2012. Funny thing is, though, try as we might, we could not find any evidence that Augustine ever said such a thing. And how does hope give birth to anger?
Prayer of the Week
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who sent Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ to take upon Him our flesh and to suffer death upon the cross that all mankind should follow the example of His great humility, mercifully grant that we may both be guided by His patience in this life and also be made partakers of His resurrection; through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

When we make the decision to carry a firearm or to purchase a firearm for home defense, there are a certain set of scenarios that we all envision and prepare for. How many of us prepare to intervene in a violent assault on a stranger? How many of us prepare for that scenario when our loved ones are with us? Aaron Kreag decided to save a woman who was being violently assaulted in 2014 but nothing prepared him for what he faced -- a non-compliant perpetrator, aggressive and poorly trained cops, constant trial delays, invasive media, potential employers who wanted nothing to do with him, and a victim who ultimately turned on him in court. If you carry a gun, you need to hear this interview. Plus tips from Sgt. Bill, Aaron Israel and Mia Anstine.
Ballistic Minute with Sergeant Bill - Looking to shake up your dry-fire routine? Sgt. Bill shares ideas for ways to make your dry for more fun and more challenging.
Aaron Israel of Fundamental Defense - Aaron Israel uses a terrible accident involving two 3-year-old Texas boys to teach an important lesson about how to safely stage firearms in your vehicle.
Mia's Motivations with Mia Anstine - Every year the TSA stops hundreds of travelers every year who attempt to sneak firearms past security in America's airports. Several have recently made it through. What would you do if this happened to you?
Special Guest: Aaron Kreag - In 2014 Aaron Kreag was on the way to the movies with his wife when he drove up on a violent assault and made the decision to intervene. He joins us to talk about that event and the aftermath. Nothing about that experience was what he expected and he shares the lessons he learned and how it changed his view of defending others.
Prayer of the Week - We implore You, almighty God, merciful Father, look upon Your people that by Your great goodness they may be governed and preserved evermore in body and soul; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Amen.

Fundamentals of Defense - Aaron Israel shares thoughts on how to use your neighborhood social media network as a personal defense tool.

Prayer for the Week - O God, our heavenly Father, seeing that of ourselves we have no strength, keep us both outwardly and inwardly that we may be defended from all adversities that may happen to the body and from all evil thoughts that may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. This week on Armed Lutheran Radio we take a look at maybe the goofiest interpretation of Scripture to date. A California Quaker who suggests that Christ's call for His disciples to buy swords in Luke 22 was so that he could fulfill the prophesy to be numbered with the lawless because, we all know what lawless do. They carry swords! Plus tips for Mia, Aaron, and Sgt. Bill.
Ballistic Minute with Sergeant Bill
Dummy rounds are a useful addition to your dry-fire practice gear. There are lots of different styles and options to choose from. Sgt. Bill breaks down the pros and cons and shares his favorites.

Clinging to God and Guns
Quakers are inherently pacifists, so you kind of know what you're going to get when they write about guns. But this interpretation of Luke 22 may be the goofiest we've ever seen.
Prayer of the Week
O God, because You know that we dare not put our trust in anything that we do, mercifully grant that by Your power we may be defended against all adversity; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Fouke, Arkansas is best known for the stories of the Fouke Monster, a bigfoot-like creature that locals claim attacks livestock and which inspired the 1972 movie The Legend of Boggy Creek. On February 2, a different kind of monster came to Fouke, bringing with it the first violent crime in a generation.
Liberal Christians like the Presbyterian Church want congress to pass more restrictive gun control because all life is precious and killing is antithetical to the will of God. But like Jesus's call to take the log out of your eye before pointing out the speck in your neighbors, they fail to recognize that their argument for life when it comes to guns directly contradicts their position on other forms of life.
Ballistic Minute - With all the divisions and classifications in IDPA it can be confusing for a beginning. Sgt. Bill gives us a rundown on choosing a gun, a division, and gear for IDPA.
Fundementals of Defense - Aaron Israel committed an act of truck-on-deer violence in remote west Texas last week and he shares some lessons learned from his efforts to improvise a repair to get back to civilization.
